Abstract

This article presents a new program which helps doctors to make a bacteriological diagnosis of tuberculosis in under-equipped countries. According to the WHO's annual report in 2018, under-equipped countries are the most affected at 95%, particularly the South-East Asia region, with 44% new, and Africa at 28%. Due to the lack or insufficiency of doctors in the hospitals, they are confronted with many problems. To remedy this situation, a system based on knowledge and rules has been set up to help the doctor in the bacteriological diagnosis process with pre-laboratory screening for pulmonary tuberculosis.
